Nails Inc

In the past I've posted about Nails Inc. Recently upon a question from a lovely reader (*waves* Hi!) I found out that though Nails Inc does not test their final products on animals they couldn't provide me any information on their suppliers. This doesn't seem too good as either their a) apathetic and don't really care what their suppliers do or b) they're hiding something. I just wanted to make this addition as I know some people are concerned.

Please take note if you've heard about the recent takeover of OPI/ Nicole OPI by Coty I'll be looking into the future animal testing status of OPI once I'm done exams (it's going to be at least 2 weeks though, sorry!)

Sephora Lip Gloss Wand

L-R: Muse, Siren, Nymph
Really quick update (major major exam and paper issues, so I apologize for the lack of updates over the next little while). I saw these the other day and thought they were really neat! Sephora Collection Color Wand for Lips. Each lip gloss pot connects to the rest and each has an applicator of it's own and there are three colour sets Nymph, Siren and Muse. Though I've no idea if the gloss is any good, I think for $10 USD it makes a cute gift!

Mac Peacocky Sneak Peek!

Special thanks to Hanne at Snow White Glamour for the photo!
I don't know about anyone else but I can't wait for the Mac Peacocky collection! From what I've heard about the eyeshadows and the lippies as well as the colour descriptions (Check out the colour descriptions here) this collection sounds like it's going to be one of my favourite collections ever!
Special thanks to Hanne at Snow White Glamour and Style Lab at Style Laboratory for the photo!

Above the Mega Metal eyeshadows here you can see the Lip Gelees from the Cham Pale collection along with the Special Reserve Highlight Powders. So exciting!
Special thanks to Hanne at Snow White Glamour for the photo!
You need to see this picture bigger so click it! The sparkle and subtle different colours in this purple is drool worthy! I'm fairly sure this is Noir Plum but this is just my best guess! Stay tooned as I've got some swatches and a bunch more Peacocky pictures coming up soon!

Revlon Perplex~ Chanel Paradoxal Dupe!

Many thanks to kerriberri on MUA for the above photo of Revlon Perplex!
I'm not sure how many of you have heard of this yet but Revlon has just come out with an amazing dupe for Chanel's Paradoxal nail polish which has been all the rage this past season. A lovely dusty almost brown purple, this stunning polish I think is completely worth your pennies!
Many thanks to kerriberri on MUA for the above photo of Revlon Perplex!
You can really see the lovely shimmer here in kerriberri's photo! I know she had to work hard to try and photograph this properly so thanks so much again for the photos!
Chanel Paradoxal Left, Revlon Perplex Right
Many thanks to Maybelle on MUA for the comparison photo!
Above is a picture comparing Chanel Paradoxal and Revlon Perplex. In this light they look pretty much identical don't they? Though Perplex is slightly more purple I think this is a great cost conscious dupe! Thanks to Maybelle for the picture!
Chanel Paradoxal Left, Revlon Perplex Right
Many thanks to dot_warner on MUA for use of the above photo!
Here's another comparison in different light (by another great girl, thanks again for the photo!) As you can see Chanel Paradoxal is more muddy than Perplex but seeing as I like it better I'm okay with that!

What do you all think? Awesome yes? It's starting to come out in the USA at the moment, I know that many people have commented seeing them in CVS and some Ultas. The number code that goes with this polish is 826 if you're looking for it based off number, though the name Perplex is on the bottle too. Again, thanks so much to all three girls that allowed me permission to use there photos!

Pressing Pigment Kit

A little while ago I ordered a pigment pressing kit from The Body Needs website in an attempt to try and use my pigments more. I find if I don't have an abundance of time I don't use them so I wanted to make them more assessable by pressing them into pans that will fit into a palette. The kit comes with a card of instructions on how to go about the process. Also included are 10 eyeshadow pans, two mini spatulas, two small sheets of magnets, a bottle of pressing medium and a stamp for pressing.
My first one was too dry but I think I'm getting the hang of it now. The picture above is of the two pans I've pressed (one not pressed yet) all under a heat lamp to get the alcohol to evaporate quicker. I've pressed one of The Body Needs eyeshadows in Pixie Dust, and two Barry M dazzle dusts in Kingfisher and Emerald.
Next up will be some of my Fyrinnae pigments that I have. Does anyone press their pigments? Do you use them more now?

Nars Eyeshadow Duo in Cheyenne~ Review

I received my Sephora order from when the two Nars eyeshadow duos were on sale for $10 USD. They couldn't have come at a better time because this week has been one straight from hell. Completely miserable and it doesn't seem to be getting any better. But I figured even though I feel crappy, I decided I reallllly needed to update.
In light
In Shade
Both eyeshadows in this duo are very pigmented and close to metallic. You barely need to touch the brush to either colour to get an abundance of colour payoff. I found the orange (almost copper!) colour to be slightly more pigmented and buttery than the burgundy but they were both exceptional.

Finger swatched (only one swipe)
From the finger swatch
Both are great Autumn colours, especially as accent colours. For the $10 USD ($11 CND) this was completely worth it. For the normal price, $32 USD it's a bit too steep for me, though they are very lovely.

Overall Rating: 9/10- One mark off for the normal price of $32 USD!

NOTD: Twilight Nox Debutante

This is one of the Twilight Nox polishes that was released in association to the Twilight novels and movies. And honestly, even if you're not interested in Twilight at all this polish seriously rocks! I love the crest on the bottle I think it's super cute, and I think the colours for the line are nice (even if some of them aren't super unique) but the best part about this polish is the quality!

As you can see above, Debutante is a lovely purple-pink with a strong gold duochrome. Very girly, a bit too much so for me but still a lovely colour. In some lights it appears lilac and in others it appears solid gold. A great subtle but still unique colour. The quality though is one of the best I've used. It was opaque easily in two coats and the wear has seriously lasted me over a week with very little tip wear. I'm so impressed! I'm really not easy on my nails and my manicure still looks decent even after spending time washing over 40 sponges and doing major cleaning this weekend in my townhouse.
Though as you can see there was some subtle brush stroke lines I'm still seriously impressed with this polish. It's held up so well and the duochrome is just so intense! I'd love to try some more from the line! The bottle contains 0.58 oz and cost around $6.99 USD. You can check them out further at there website here :D. Completely worth overlooking the vampire angle if you're not into that sort of thing! (And definitely worth looking into if you do like Twilight! :P)

Sprite Rating: 9/10 - Lost one point for brushstrokes and the fact it's kind of hard to find.
